House Key Program

 The House Key program is a free service provided to the residents of the City of Bloomfield Hills by the Public Safety Department.  The purpose is to provide a safe location for an additional key to your house in the event that you lock yourself out we can conveniently come by and let you back in.  We would also use your key if we needed to force entry into your home because of an emergency such as a medical where you’re incapacitated and unable to get to the door, when your not home and we respond to a fire alarm with light smoke present in the house or we find a water pipe break while you’re away on vacation. 

It’s very convenient to register for this program, just open and print the forms for the house key program, complete the forms, make an appointment with the Chief of Police (248) 644-4200 to notarize the form and accept the key(s) you wish to drop off.
