Obtain a Burn Permit
Residents of the City of Bloomfield Hills are allowed to
burn brush that is collected from yard clean up. Please keep
in mind the following when burning.
- The burning of brush is only allowed when there are
favorable weather conditions. You MUST contact the
Public Safety Department at (248)644-4200 to obtain a
permit to burn first.
- Keep brush piles to a manageable size.
- Have a garden hose nearby.
- Never leave the fire unattended.
- Household items and trash are not to be burned. Only
yard waste such as leaves and tree branches are allowed.
- Keep children away from all open flames.
