Reporting Streetlight Repairs

Bloomfield Hills has been working with Detroit Edison’s Community Lighting group to expedite the repair and maintenance of the streetlights in our community. In the event of a streetlight outage, please call the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Works at (248)644-1520, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 4:30pm with the following information:

1. A specific streetlight location (i.e., the nearest cross roads, nearby business, home, etc.).
2. Whether the pole is metal or wooden.
3. The streetlight pole number. For metal poles it is located at the base of the pole. For wooden poles it is located approximately 8 feet up the pole.
4. Details about the outage. Such as: Is the light off at night? Does the light turn on and off at night? Does it stay on during the day?

In cases where a pole has been knocked down or any other emergency please call Detroit Edison at (800)447-4747 and the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety (248)644-4200 anytime.
