Free Community Shred Day

FREE Community Shred Day for Personal and Professional Peace of Mind

mBank Birmingham and the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber are teaming together to provide a FREE Community Shred Day to help protect Bloomfield Hills citizens and businesses from identity theft.  The event will be held Tuesday, July 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 725. S. Adams Road in the southwest end of the Adams Square parking lot.

Up to four boxes per person will be accepted.  Paperclips, staples, binders clips, even whole three ring binders can be shredded.  All the shredded material will be securely recycled at the end of the event.

Examples of documents you may want to destroy include: outdated credit card and financial statements, old tax forms, pre-approved credit card offers, bills, insurance forms, pay stubs, cancelled checks, medical records, and anything with personal information that needs to be destroyed to avoid identity theft.  For more information on which documents to retain, click here or consult with your attorney.
