The City of Bloomfield Hills Chesterfield / Lakewood Road Project is getting started. The Contractor will be mobilizing equipment and you will begin to see activity in the area this week.
The work to install the new watermain along Chesterfield Road is scheduled to begin the week of July 22nd, weather permitting.
Throughout the duration of the construction, eastbound traffic on Chesterfield from Quarton Road to Woodward will be maintained. Temporary road closures may occur for short durations.
Separate from the City's infrastructure and road project, Consumer’s Energy has been working in the area upgrading the gas main. We have made efforts to coordinate this work with the City's project to avoid further disruption. Consumer's Energy reports their work is scheduled to be completed within the week.
We will communicate project updates via email and on our website under the 2019 Road Improvement News Flash on the homepage. Anyone interested in receiving email updates, please send your name, address and email address to Amy Burton at firstname.lastname@example.org
Should you have any questions regarding the road and infrastructure project, please contact the Project Engineer Lia Michaels at (586) 634-6211.
We understand construction can be a disruption to your daily routine. Thank you for your cooperation during this project.
