City of Bloomfield Hills - March 23, 2020

March 23, 2020

Today Governor Whitmer issued an Executive Order to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. The order is scheduled to take effect 12:00 a.m. March 24, 2020 and continue through 11:59 p.m. April 13, 2020.  For the past week, the City has been conducting business via phone, email and through our website. All City staff that is not essential for critical infrastructure support will continue to provide this same service while working remotely.

City emergency services will operate as normal and our Public Works Department will be minimally staffed to provide critical infrastructure support. Trash pick-up will continue as usual.

Our Building Department inspection services are suspended for the next three weeks to comply with the Governor's Executive Order. Building activity that is not in support of critical infrastructure, or to rectify an unsafe situation, is also suspended until April 13, 2020.

Or staff is committed to providing the best service we are able to during this unusual time.

Thank you for your understanding and stay well.
