Bloomfield Hills Public Safety provides patrol services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Last year BHDPS officers logged over 160,000 miles of patrol. Road patrol is responsible for responding to requests for police services, traffic safety, court transports, conducting housewatch as well as responding to all emergency calls for service within the community.
Patrol officers will carry their firefighting protective equipment with them in the patrol car, as well as a first aid kit and AED. This allows them to respond to any type of call for service at a moments notice. Our Public Safety Officers are MCOLES certified peace officers with the authority to enforce local and state laws.
